Education:
Nonye Okorie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from California Polytechnic University, Pomona. She then pursued graduate studies at California State University, Northridge, where she obtained a Master’s degree in Public Administration, specializing in Public Sector Management and Leadership.
Work Experience:
With over 10 years of service as a civil servant, Nonye Okorie has worked in two different departments in her County. She began her career as an Eligibility Worker, assessing and determining continued eligibility for public assistance program applicants. She was later promoted to Information Technology Technical Support Analyst, where she provided technical support in a department that has nearly 14,000 employees.
Her career continued to advance as she took on the role of Application Developer, working on both front-end and back-end development. Driven by her passion for systems analysis. Nonye transitioned to her current position as an Information Systems Analyst, where she designs, implements, supports, and maintains computer systems to meet the needs of her department.
