Reaching Hearts, Changing Lives
The Touch-A-Life Initiative was launched by the Atta Nwambiri Organization (ANO) to bring direct relief and hope to vulnerable individuals and families across the Atta Nwambiri communities. Held on January 1, 2025, the outreach was designed as a New Year humanitarian drive to meet pressing needs, providing food, clothing, and emotional support to widows, orphans, and the elderly.
This initiative set the tone for ANO’s year-long commitment to community care and restoration. It served both as a symbolic and practical gesture, ensuring that no one was left behind in the spirit of a fresh beginning.

Background of the Project
Years of hardship, insecurity, and economic setbacks had left many in the Atta Nwambiri Kingdom facing extreme deprivation, especially during festive and transitional seasons like the New Year. In response, ANO initiated the Touch-A-Life Initiative as a compassionate outreach focused on helping those who are often overlooked, widows, orphans, and indigent families.
The decision to start the year with this humanitarian effort was deliberate: to inspire hope, promote inclusion, and encourage a culture of shared responsibility among residents of Atta, Egwedu, and Umunam-Atta.
Goals and Objectives
- To support the most vulnerable members of the community with basic survival needs.
- To restore dignity and belonging through acts of kindness and inclusion.
- To create a ripple effect of compassion and generosity in the local communities.
- To emphasize ANO’s values of humanitarian service, equity, and restoration.
Target Beneficiaries
The outreach was directed toward:
- Widows and elderly women
- Orphans and vulnerable children
- Displaced families and persons with special needs
Residents of Atta, Egwedu, and Umunam-Atta communities benefited from the outreach. Women and children formed a significant portion of the turnout, and many of them received personalized attention, supplies, and emotional support.
PROJECT ACTIVITIES
The event was held at a central location where beneficiaries were welcomed, registered, and guided through various stations for distribution. The activities included:
- Distribution of rice, beans, and cooking essentials
- Provision of clothing and footwear
- One-on-one listening and prayer sessions for emotional support
- Community volunteers helped identify, organize, and assist vulnerable attendees
The energy was warm, inclusive, and festive. Music, prayers, and shared meals helped transform what could have been another hard day into one of joy and human connection.
